Solution thanks to malaugh ... 8)

You can run widescreen on NOLF2. Just look for the file called display.cfg in the game directory, and change "Screenwidth" and "Screenheight" to the values for your monitor. The display will be stretched, there does not seem to be a setting for FOV.

Screenshots thanks to Gabbo ... 8)

Great new find by Gizmo ... 8)
---------------------------------------------------

Been digging though my game folder for oldies but goodies and thought i have an other bash at finishing NOLF2

after following the advise in the master games list entery for NOLF2 i went digging in the other config files to try and find a way to alter the FOV & Aspect

Do a first run of the game & exit so it creates a display.cfg file in the games root dir open this file with notepad & edit the lines

"screenwidth" "XXXX"
"screenheight" "XXXX"

and save (XXXX being your desired screen res)

To alter the aspect & fov open up the autoexec.cfg also in the games root dir and find the lines "pvmodelaspect" & "pvmodelfov"

Defaults 4:3 rez values for these are 1.3 & 65

for 16:10 you'll want to change this too

"pvmodelaspect" "1.6"
"pvmodelfov" "78"

Ingame CS & menu's/hud are still stretched And as you can see in the following screenshots you wont get any + horz either but it will remove the stretching from the weapon and other ingame models

"pvmodelaspect" "1.3" "pvmodelfov" "65" 1152x864 (resized to 66%)

Image

"pvmodelaspect" "1.3" "pvmodelfov" "65" 1680x1050 (resized to 66%)

Image

"pvmodelaspect" "1.6" "pvmodelfov" "78" 1680x1050 (resized to 66%)

One final thing is that making any changes to the autoexec.cfg file seems to render any older saves unuseable so dont go messing with them part way thought a game because you'll lose all your progress!

laters
