==Game Information==

Big thanks to malaugh and Gizmo.

No One Lives Forever 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way

NOLF2 was developed by Monolith Productions.

You are Cate Archer, super-spy. Use stealth, wits, gadgets, and guns to meet your objectives.

Don't muss the hair.

==Version==

Retail US version with patch 1.3 installed.

==Method==

No native support for widescreen resolutions.

You need to start a new game for the optional weapon method to work.

For widescreen resolutions go to the root game directory and open "display.cfg" with a text editor. Search for...

"screenwidth" "****"
"screenheight" "****"

Change "****" to your desired widescreen resolution.

The next step is optional and will remove stretching from the weapons.

In the root game directory open "autoexec.cfg" with a text editor. Search for...

"pvmodelaspect" "***"
"pvmodelfov" "***"

For "pvmodelaspect" enter your decimal aspect ratio. For example...

4:3 (Default) 1.3333
16:9 1.7777
15:9 1.6666
16:10 1.6

For "pvmodelfov" enter the fov value based on your aspect ratio. For example...

4:3 (Default) 65
16:9 80.6959702772
15:9 77.0669037718
16:10 74.7975218096

==Screen change==

The game is stretched in widescreen resolutions. Weapons do not stretch in widescreen resolutions.

D, 100%. Stretching is a damaging flaw.

I applied this manual to the game called Contract J.A.C.K, it was released after NOLF2. It looks good, but I have a huge problem. When widescreen resolution selected (exactly 1440*900), the subtitles are invisible. It is probably somewhere out of screen, I don't know. Does anybody know how to do it to have subtitles along with widescreen resolution?

Thank for your answers.

Subtitles issues were clearly stated in the Report...

I'm afraid there's no solution for this until the entire UI gets somehow modded for widescreen :(

I was hoping someone else would pick up on my solution for TRON 2.0 and apply it to the NOLF games. Seems I might have to do it myself? :wink:

I checked what resolutions my GPU supports and I found strange resolution 1280x900. That means I have only two stripes on the right and left and subtitles are okay. The aspect is 64:45 (really strange) but it is near to 4:3, so I didn't change fov. So it is solved.

But it is interesting that in No one lives forever it was ok in 1440*900, subtitles was ok and in this game, subtitles disappeared.
