There is a very handy little utility for editing Morrowind .ini files and registry entries available on the web... it's easy enough to get it to set a particular resolution.

Instructions for use are included with the program.

I advise following the site link and reading everything first! It requires a reinstall if it goes wrong!

Thanks for the link, I have a problem though.....

After setting the aspect ratio to 16:9, I still only get a whole screen in the game 1024x768 setting.
This was also the case before using this patch.

How do I set widescreen in Morrowind properly on a 1200 x 800 res on my X1000?

1 ) Run the Morrowind FPS optimizer.

2 ) Click on the 'status' tab (if not already on it)

3 ) Click the 'change Morrowind registry settings here...' button at the bottom.

4 ) Change the value '1024' to '1280' and the value '768' to '800'.

5 ) Save.

6 ) Run 'Morrowind'.

That's what works for me... with the latest patch. 1.20.72.2 or something I think the number is.

Ok, thanks, I noticed the reg settings only can be configured when the game is not running.......
Everything works fine now, I thought everybody was short and fat in that age......but now proportions are normal again.....
