That one with the menu seems to confirm that the 2407WFP is using the Samsung LTM240M2 panel. That's the same panel used in the Samsung 244T and probably 245T as well.

Yeah.This Panel is S-PVA.
Im worrying that S-PVA picture more damaging my eye than 2405.

Hi guys,
new here

I came from hardforum where we discussed input lag of Dell 2405. Did you guys discuss this here? This is the only reason I would wait for 2407, maybe it's fixed on it. Any 2405 owners here that can confirm this lag?

I tested 244t myself in a store, and it was very noticable. I'm still waiting for my Dell dealer to get 2405 so I can test it too.

I've had mixed results with the mouse lag issue. It seems to be only in menus of 3d games like Oblivion, BF2, etc. When you go into a menu the cursor will lag, it's not really "mouse lag" because it doesn't seem to affect anything other than menus unless your resolution is cranked way up or other settings hinder your video. That's my experience anyway.

That would make sense, I mean it really IS a large resolution. The only way, I think, this can be tested is moving a window in Windows. Because GPU should be able to do this, or CPU. In games, you can't tell input lag from just a normal hardware lag, I mean it's a complex game on a large resolution so...

what would dell's reasoning be for releasing this monitor in Japan and England before the USA? i know companies often release different models of products in different conutries, but the 2407 seems to be the same product the world-over (i guess)...

i'm just asking because dell is am american company, at least on paper, so it just seems odd...

The UK hasn't seen either the 2007FP or 2007WFP yet, America & Japan of course already have them.

I personally think (although I am probably wrong) it is purely down to stock levels. Dell America probably have more stock of the 2405FPW than the other markets.

Noooo :( and we're all waited for it, and now it sucks! Just great! I mean do they actually look at the product before releasing it???

Hey, how do Japaneese people write those Japaneese letters on computer? You have normal keyboards, type in the word and it turns into your signs?

I have written facts about 2407 confirmed by many Japanese 2407 reviewers.

* Picture quality

http://www.aqz.jp/~pc/imgboard1/img-box/img20060427183725.jpg
Look at this picture above.
You can see every letter blurred upward(1 dot or 2 dots).
This is DVI connection result,not D-sub.
and this is not defect.(DELL Japan said this is not defect.)
Most 2407 owners report this blurring problem.
I strongly hope Dell solve this problem quickly.

* Aspect ratio(component connection)

As you know,former model 2405 have incorrect aspect ratio issue.
(4:3 picture desplayed as 3:2.)
Is this problem solved with 2407?

NO
4:3 picture still displayed as 3:2.
http://axts10.web.infoseek.co.jp/kusuno ... ct_1_1.jpg

Some 2407 owners say picture quality(using component) of 2407 totally inferior to 2405.
Personally,This is disastrous.
My plan to play xbox360 with 2407 is terminated.

* DVI-D HDCP - Full HD ready?

People looking forward to watching Full HD movie hooking up playstation 3 or HD DVD,BlueRay player to 2407 using DVI-HDMI cable will be disappointed.
From all reviews available now.2407 cant display 1080i picture.
480p and 720p picture is Okay though.
conclusion
Buy Bravia. :shock:

I have not yet recieved 2407.but...
After more considerlation,I may cancel it.
Is 2407 worse than 2405!??
Latter product inferior to former one,it is ridiculous. :lol:

I hope Dell fix these problem.
I want improved version of 2407.

# Thank you many 2ch reviewer for your informative review.
:)
