Limited corrected (Aspect ratio support)

Definition

A game with "Limited corrected" aspect ratio support is one where widescreen is supported, but when it is enabled, the aspect ratio is hard-coded to 16:10 or 16:9. That is, the horizontal component of the FOV is either 1.6 (16/10) times greater than the vertical component, or 1.77 (16/9) times greater than the vertical component, and it is fixed that way. If you run the game at a resolution with the "wrong" aspect ratio (for example, the game is hard-coded to use an aspect ratio of 16:9 and your resolution is 1920x1200, a 16:10 resolution), black bars are added to the picture, preserving the aspect ratio but leaving a portion of your monitor unused.

Examples

Condemned: Criminal Origins is hard-coded to a 16:9 aspect ratio. If you run it at a 16:10 resolution, it is letterboxed, but if you run it at a 16:9 resolution, it fills the screen. The FOV is identical either way.
