Rail Simulator combines an electric & steam train simmer with a powerful built-in editor you can access at any time during play. Take on scenarios or just explore the routes at will. Steam and electric train controls can be set to three levels of complexity, from Simple to Expert so that everyone can hop in and enjoy the ride.
Widescreen Support
Method
Native. Simply click the Options button upon game launch to select your resolution and other settings. Then click the Test button for any changes to register.Screen change
Hor+ ("slightly Vert-, vastly Hor+" actually).
Surround Gaming support
Method
Native & official in Mk2, Hor+ gameplay, no HUD stretch. 5040x1050 is supported, and GXM's Bezel Management hotkey even works in-game.
You can set Monitor Arrangement to 1x1, 2x1 or 3x1. 2x1 though mostly useful for dual-screen mode can be used in TripleHead to group all HUD elements on the left screen. The difference between 1x1 and 3x1 is mainly cosmetic though, no centered HUD à la Burnout Paradise here !
Known Issues
Zooming in amplifies the FOV's slight flaw, thus making the first-person view Hor+/Vert
