Players can skirmish against the AI or fellow players using the starships of different factions. These factions include the Federation, the Klingons, the Romulans, and the Borg.

Players can also play through a singleplayer campaign. This campaign has the player controlling the Federation through various Star Trek eras from Star Trek: Enterprise to a post Star Trek Nemesis/Star Trek: Voyager time period.

The starship Enterprise captain's voices are provided by the television series characters of Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula), James T. Kirk (William Shatner), Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks), and Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew).

Widescreen Support

Method

Native support for 1280x720, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, and 1920x1200 widescreen resolutions. The following method will allow 1280x768, 1280x800, and 1440x900 widescreen resolutions.

In the root game directory go into the folder "ui" and open "graphicsSettings.xml" with a text editor. Search for "1280" and you will be in the game resolutions section. Each resolution looks like this...

Change the three resolution pairs to your desired widescreen resolution. You can now select this resolution in the game "OPTIONS/VIDEO" menu.
