Thief - Deadly Shadows see's Garret return to his thiefing ways. Although the game wasn't developed by the makers of the original Thief, Ion Storm did an admirable job.

Widescreen Support

Method

The old method has been replaced with a much more elegant hack than can be used by anyone, experts and newbies alike.

1. If you only just installed the game, run it and then quit immediately, then install the 1.1 Patch
2. Locate the user.ini file and open in notepad….
   
   1. Windows Vista - “C:\Users\Public\Documents\Thief - Deadly Shadows\SaveGames\User Options\options.ini.
      
   2. Windows 2k/XP - “C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\My Documents\Thief - Deadly Shadows\SaveGames\User Options\options.ini
3. Find the line that says “Resolution=” and change the figure to -1.
4. Download and run T3 FOV Patch
5. Under "New aspect ratio", pick the right aspect ratio for your monitor. This will normally be 16:10 (1920x1200, 1680x1050). If you're not sure what aspect ratio your monitor is, you can type in its resolution instead (e.g. 1920x1080). If you want to undo the changes and get back to the original settings, pick 4:3.
6. Now click "Change FOV", and your game will be hacked automatically
7. Launch Thief 3, start a new game, and enjoy!

Using the above hack, you can input any resolution of your choice.
